Bagels & Coffee...
You simply can’t have one without the other! At least not if you’re from the East Coast that is! Ever since I can remember, my family has been getting bagels on the weekends as a way to spend some time together and enjoy one of our favorite foods. I grew up in Allendale NJ with my grandparents every summer as my parents were Active Duty Military and this was our way of getting to travel and explore the country. While visiting my grandparents, they were always taking us to little bagel shops and cafes that were cozy and fun -
just like All Star Bagel.
With over 12 Bagel Flavors and MANY breakfast sandwich combos,
All Star Bagel - Southampton has become my husband and I’s favorite weekend adventure. Being a young military couple, we are always looking for places that feel like home and remind us of our loved ones back in Nebraska. When we lived in Nebraska, we would join my parents at the local bagel shop once every other week or so for a coffee and bagel. Once we moved out here to Jersey, it took us a while to find our new go-to spot. There was a week my parents came to visit and keeping the tradition going, they tried to find a bagel spot to bring some bagels back to the house. They found a spot but forgot to share the address before heading back to Nebraska. We reached out to them to go one weekend on our own and they said to search for “All Star Bagel” - little did we know, NJ has LOTS of bagel shops named this! With that being said, we stumbled upon this little spot. We came and got breakfast, sending them a photo of our bagels and the store and they laughed saying we went to the wrong place - little did they know - it was the right place for us!
Ever since,
we’ve been visiting this spot every weekend
to share a bite and enjoy our start to the weekend.
Being an Adventurous couple,
my husband and I enjoy visiting what feels like a little home away from home! I am so thankful to have a spot where we can come and reconnect, play a little game or two of Checkers and Connect Four while waiting on our delicious bagels or breakfast sandwiches! Much like other customers, All Star Bagel - Southampton is a place where families come together to share a bite to eat along with a few laughs and lots of love. While visiting the cafe recently, I chatted with some other bagel lovers and we all seemed to have one thing in common - The food is DELICIOUS! And the games are FUN! You’re not seen as just another customer to this little spot - you’re seen to them as their “Bagel Loving Family” and they're so thankful to have you visit -
even if it's two times in a week!
Supporting Local Small Businesses
is something I love to do, knowing that I am supporting someone’s dreams just like my own. Being able to shop local is my way of giving back to others - especially when I feel like I am benefiting from it while also helping others benefit. One amazing thing I have noticed about All Star Bagel after visiting many times is the number of other small businesses they support within their own store. Within their front doors, you’re greeted with a cart full of locally sourced products such as milk soaps, scrubs, chapsticks and more from the amazing Grazing Goat! There is also delicious Jersey Devil salsas, jams, and marinades. While you browse around the cafe, be sure to check out the rack of business cards lining the wall where you go to pick up your food! There are so many companies, little shops and more looking for new customers just like yourself. On the way out the door, you’ll want to also check out the bulletin board for local events, more businesses and new specials within the cafe.
